Role Overview

GARAM – Indian Street Food is seeking a commercially driven Business Development Officer to lead strategic growth initiatives, expand revenue streams, and develop long-term commercial partnerships across Berkshire and surrounding regions.

This role is focused on sales strategy, account management, market expansion, and commercial planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and secure new catering contracts, corporate accounts, and event partnerships

  • Develop and implement structured sales strategies to increase turnover

  • Build and manage key client relationships and long-term commercial accounts

  • Conduct market research to identify expansion opportunities

  • Prepare revenue forecasts, commercial proposals, and business plans

  • Negotiate commercial agreements and pricing structures

  • Monitor competitor activity and industry trends

  • Represent the company at networking events, trade shows, and industry meetings

  • Support strategic planning for multi-location or event-based expansion

  • Track sales performance metrics and prepare management reports

Essential Requirements

  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation capability

  • Experience preparing proposals, forecasts, and strategic plans

  • Ability to manage client relationships at a professional level

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools

Desirable

  • Experience within the hospitality or food service sector

  • Experience securing local authority or corporate catering contracts
